Kate Milligan Edger (1857-1935)
In 1877, Kate became the first woman in New Zealand to graduate and only the second woman in the whole British Empire.
She was a great supporter of the Suffrage Movement and advocated strongly for women to use the vote to bring about change and improvement in society.
