Kate Edger Foundation awards and scholarships
Each year, The Kate Edger Foundation (KEF) funds approximately 110 educational awards totalling over $600,000, for women. Majority of the funding comes from the social enterprise, The Graduation Place, from the hire and sale of graduation, academic and legal attire. We also have some very special sponsor partners who fund specific awards. These partners are a range of businesses, trusts, individuals or even in honour or memory of groups or individuals.
Funding varies for each award from $2,000 up to $18,000 to assist with study expenses, fees or retraining.
The award selection process is overseen by an experienced Awards Committee and the approach is both academic and holistic, considering things such as financial need, whether the applicant is first in family to study, or any challenges they might have.

The Kate Edger Foundation Award Ceremony is held annually in August, to celebrate and recognise the awardees who have received awards and scholarships in that year. This inspiring event brings together our community of awardees, supporters, donors, sponsors, and alumni, creating an opportunity for meaningful connections and sharing success stories. The event showcases the foundation’s commitment to empowering women through supporting their career and education goals, and highlights the impact of scholarships in breaking barriers and fostering success.
